PaceVault — Support
Deep analytics for Garmin device owners — best-effort records, matched routes, and lifetime trends, computed privately on your device.
Need help? Email [email protected]. PaceVault is made by an independent developer, so replies are best-effort — please include your device model and iOS version, and a description of what you were doing, so we can help faster.
Getting started
There are two ways to load your activities into PaceVault — you can use either, or both:
- Connect your Garmin account. Open the app, choose Connect Garmin, and sign in with your Garmin Connect credentials. PaceVault syncs your activities and, if available, your wellness history.
- Import files — no account required. If you'd rather not sign in, you can import
Garmin
.fitfiles directly: go to Settings → Import and select the files or a folder. The full app populates from local files, with no login.
Common questions
Do I need a Garmin account? No. You can use PaceVault entirely by importing
.fit files. Connecting a Garmin account simply makes syncing automatic.
How much does it cost? PaceVault is free, and every feature is included — there is no trial, no subscription, and no paywall. An optional tip jar (Settings → Support) lets you support development if you'd like; tips unlock nothing, because everything is already free.
Where is my data stored? Everything is computed and stored on your device. The developer runs no servers and receives none of your data. If you turn on iCloud sync, summaries are stored in your own private iCloud account. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
How do I export or delete my data? You can export your data (CSV, GPX, or FIT) at any time from Settings. To remove everything, use Settings → Advanced → Erase all data, which deletes all data from the device and, if iCloud sync was enabled, from iCloud as well.
The Garmin connection stopped working. Because the Garmin connection is unofficial, it
can occasionally be affected by changes on Garmin's side. If syncing fails, you can reconnect from Settings,
or continue using the app by importing .fit files. If it persists, email us at
[email protected].
Weather and iCloud sync. Both are optional and off until you enable them. Weather adds historical conditions to your activities; iCloud sync keeps summaries in step across your own devices. Both can be turned on or off at any time in Settings.
